When releasing new music, Savannah Cristina never needs to do a song and dance. Instead, the rising singer can put out her content and let the fans rock to it. That happens to be the case with her latest, “Bad Bitch Energy.”
On the reaffirming anthem, drenched in mellow instruments, including a sultry sax, Cristina illustrates what it means to be a woman and possess this extraordinary superpower.
While she made little of this strength in the past, she reminds herself and other women why it’s important never to do it again.
“I’m that girl, been that chick / Never needed no one else / I been that b*tch,” she boldly declares.
“Bad Bitch Energy” is Cristina’s third release of the year, following “Walk it Out” and “Sneaky Link.” There is no official word if any of these new tunes are associated with an extended play or a full-length effort.
Cristina last released Self Care in fall 2020. She spoke to Rated R&B’s Keithan Samuels ahead of its release, discussing the nature of the seven-track project, which featured the focus track “Gold Mine.”
“It is a lot of soul therapy. It’s a timeless EP that’s not really going to be specifically for this time but really something that is going to transcend throughout all time,” Cristina explained when asked about Self Care, the EP.
