Singer and actor Trevor Jackson has returned with his new EP, Show Me Diamonds.
The four-song project, which includes the previously shared title track, is a fusion of R&B and drill.
“With all due respect to the culture of drill music, I felt the inspiration to add it,” said Jackson. “That space has turned into ‘drill&b’ and people are loving it. I had a great time making this project and I wanted my fans to feel the same energy I felt when I made it as they listen in. Here’s a little treat before the holidays.”

The opening track, “Show Me Diamonds,” hears Jackson singing about a woman with expensive taste. It’s a reimagination of the old saying “diamonds are a girl’s best friend.”
Jackson sings in the chorus: “Listen, I’m not your ordinary lover / I’ll do you right and make you call my name / She’s like, ‘Boy, before you go any further I’ve got somethin’ I really need to say’ / She said, ‘Baby, f**k all that love you got to give, boy, show me diamonds.”
On “Back Problems,” Jackson jokingly takes the blame for giving his woman back pain after a night of intense thrusting. “Sorry doc but I got carried away / I’m the reason that she got back problems / I’m guilty as hell, I’m why she can’t walk by herself,” he sings.
The mood shifts on “2Little,” where Jackson finds himself ready to move on from a dwindling relationship.
On the closing track, “Just for Fun” featuring Haben, Jackson is open to meeting new people but doesn’t want any strings attached. He sings, “I want you to stay the night / But I ain’t tryna hear ’bout your life.” Haben echoes Jackson’s sentiments, singing, “You callin’ me past two / Baby, I know what you’re tryin’ to get into / Let’s get experimental / You don’t gotta be gentle.”
Show Me Diamonds is Jackon’s first project release since his 2021 debut album, The Love Language. “I definitely feel like I really opened up, it was a little more vulnerable in terms of the subject matter,” Jackson told Rated R&B in an interview.
