Elle Varner has announced her headlining Lucky Tour 2023.
The Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter will play across the U.S. at different City Winery locations. The tour begins March 10, 2023, at City Winery – Chicago. From there, Varner will make stops in Nashville, Atlanta, New York City and more.
According to Varner, more dates will be announced soon. Tickets are on sale now at ellevarner.com.
Fans will also have the option to purchase a meet and greet package that includes: a personal meet and greet with Varner, a digital photo and a VIP gift.
Not only will Varner perform music from her debut album, Perfectly Imperfect, and her 2019 EP Ellevation, but she also plans to share new music. She confirmed on Twitter that new tunes would be released ahead of her tour.
“The new music is possibly better than my debut,” Varner teased.

Varner’s upcoming Lucky Tour will follow 2022’s An Intimate Experience with Elle Varner, which also was hosted at various City Winery venues across the U.S.
Circling back to Ellevation, the project was released July 12, 2019. It included the Wale-assisted single “Pour Me (Thinkin bout u)” and “1 To 10.”
The EP was released as an “appetizer” to prepare fans for her next album that didn’t materialize.
“One of the songs I’m most excited about sounds like it literally came out of the 1980s. Some people call it ‘The Sade Song.’ There are no trap drums. It is analog. It is melodic. It is lyrical,” Varner told Rated R&B about her impending album in a 2019 interview.
She also compared the direction of Ellevation with her next album. “I would say that it’s like an appetizer and an entree. The first couple of [singles] I’m releasing, you get kind of a preview of where I’m going musically. I tend to go left most of the time in some ways. If the track is trap, then the vocals are jazzy. If the track is jazzy, the vocals are maybe more pop. It’s always like a juxtaposition of things that wouldn’t always be accepted to go together,” Varner told Rated R&B.
“I think the storytelling on these next two projects is a lot more intimate. It’s a lot of real things that I’ve experienced. It’s a lot of things that people want to know about me that they might not get from [social media], but you’ll be like, “Oh okay, that’s what she was talking about on the album.”
