The 2024 NAACP Image Awards nominations have been unveiled, and Victoria Monét leads in the music categories, with six nods, including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Album for JAGUAR II.
R&B icon Usher, who’s gearing up to headline the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show, is up next with five nominations, including Outstanding Male Artist. He is also nominated in a non-music category, Entertainer of the Year, with actor Colman Domingo and fellow singers/actresses Fantasia Barrino, Halle Bailey, and Keke Palmer.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of this year’s nominees, whose outstanding contributions across film, television and streaming, music, literature, podcasts, and more have inspired us all,” said Derrick Johnson, president and CEO of the NAACP. “The NAACP Image Awards stand as a tribute to their creativity, talent, and dedication to authentic storytelling and are a testament to the richness and diversity of our community.”
