J. Valentine has released a passionate track, “The Day After.” He co-wrote it with the song’s producer, Shawn Holmes, and singer/songwriter Feather.
“The Day After” arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day. It’s a devotional ballad about loving on a partner, not only during the highs but also through the lows. It reassures that, even when things get rocky, the love will endure.
“Might have roadblocks in our lane / But it don’t matter / Give you all my love today / And the day after / Hold it down even if we fall / Love still won’t change,” Valentine croons on the velvety production.
“The Day After” is Valentine’s second song released this month, following “Before The Streets.” “We made this song because nobody really wants to be ‘outside,'” Valentine told Rated R&B about the latter track.
The two songs, plus November’s “Thank Me For That,” will appear on Valentine’s forthcoming album, Conversations With Women. Valentine’s debut effort will be released sometime this year on R&B Money, the independent label that he co-owns with Tank.
