Keith Sweat’s debut album, Make It Last Forever, and Eric Benét’s sophomore effort, A Day in the Life, will be reissued on vinyl via Rhino Records.

The record company announced both vinyls will release on Feb. 23 as part of its Black History Month celebration. Sweat’s Make It Last Forever will be available as a 1LP, while Benét’s A Day in the Life will be on 2LP.

Make It Last Forever was released Nov. 2, 1987, via Elektra Records. The eight-track album included the lead single “I Want Her,” which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Hot Black Singles charts (now called Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs). It spent three weeks atop the latter chart.

“I Want Her” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 500,000 copies.

The album’s title track, featuring Jacci McGhee, was released as the second single. It peaked at No. 2 on the Hot Black Singles chart and No. 59 on the Hot 100.

Make It Last Forever was first certified platinum in May 1988, before being upped to 3x platinum in April 1994.

Benét’s A Day in the Life was released April 27, 1999, via Warner Bros. The album debuted at No. 25 on the Billboard 200. It included the Hot 100 charting hits “Spend My Life With You” featuring Tamia (No. 21) and “Georgy Porgy” featuring Faith Evans (No. 55). The latter track is a cover of Toto’s 1979 classic.

Elsewhere on Billboard, “Spend My Life With You” spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Hot R&B Singles & Tracks chart (now called Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs).

“Spend My Life With You” scored a Benét and Tamia a nomination for Best R&B Performance By A Duo or Group With Vocal at the 42nd Grammy Awards. TLC won the award for their smash hit “No Scrubs.”

A Day in the Life was certified gold in November 1999. It remains Benét’s only RIAA-certified album.
