Muni Long has achieved another chart-topper at urban radio.
Her single “Made For Me” moves from No. 3 to No. 1 this week on the airplay format, bumping Chris Brown’s “Sensational” to No. 3.
According to All Access, “Made For Me” saw an increase of 967 spins this week, totaling 6,385, for an audience impression of 15.46 million.
“Made For Me” is Long’s second No. 1 hit at urban radio, following her Grammy-winning hit “Hrs & Hrs” in April 2022.
At R&B radio, the Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox and Jordan XL-produced song is No. 6 this week. It previously topped the chart in December, scoring Long her first No. 1 on that format.
On Billboard, “Made For Me” has spent six weeks atop the R&B Digital Song Sales chart, surpassing her five-week streak with “Hrs & Hrs” in 2022.
On Spotify, “Made For Me” has nearly 65 million streams, while the official video has garnered over 21 million views on YouTube.
Speaking on the video, Long explained: “I wanted to have fun with this video and really think outside of the box. It’s my little nod to A.I. mixed with Frankenstein. If you want to find the perfect person in a limited dating pool, you might just have to create them! It’s only science fiction for now, but with how fast technology is changing, could this be our reality someday?”
“Made For Me” is the lead single from Long’s forthcoming album, the follow-up to her 2022 debut, Public Displays of Affection: The Album.
This summer, Long will join Chris Brown on The 11:11 Tour. The North American leg kicks off June 5 in Detroit, Michigan, and concludes Aug. 7 in Los Angeles, California. Long’s stint will begin June 26 in Boston, Massachusetts.
