Emerging Canadian singer Liza has teamed with Nigerian singer TOBi for her new single “Back For More.”
Produced by WaveIQ, “Back For More” explores the grey area after a breakup, where the idea of circling the block isn’t off the table.
“Call me when you need me / Even when I lock my doors / It’s easy for me to let go / ‘Cause I know you’ll be back for more,” Liza sings.
TOBi appears in the second verse, crooning, “One mo time for me / So why stop this / Let’s get toxic together / I call the phone I hope you home.”
Speaking on “Back For More,” Liza tells Rated R&B, “I think it’s sometimes easier to go back to something that’s familiar even though it might not be the healthiest dynamic. I feel like it’s something a lot of people go through where you find yourself unknowingly entering a ‘toxic’ situation because you don’t want to fully let go. This song is a chapter in a larger story, and a part two to the first single.”
“Back For More” is the follow-up to “In The End,” released in January. Both songs will appear on Liza’s forthcoming project, which will follow 2021’s DONE IS DONE.
