Eric Bellinger has released the official music video for “Drop” featuring Sevyn Streeter.
Directed by Trinidad James of 567 Agency, the video follows Bellinger and Streeter as they dance to the high-octane track at a warehouse, before transitioning to a lively late-night party scene.
“‘Drop’ has been a fan favorite since the album dropped! I knew I wanted to shoot a video from the second we finished recording,” says Bellinger. “Me and Sevyn felt it was necessary to make sure the video felt like the party that the song is, so we also included some fire grooves to keep the energy on 100! I had been talking to my long-time friend Trinidad James about directing and taking my creatives to the next level, and I knew this was the perfect time to tap him in! Long story short…he delivered!”
Streeter adds, “Anytime I have a chance to create with my friends, work never feels like work, and ‘Drop’ was no different! When we recorded the song we knew instantly that it was full of energy and felt like summer, so the video had to be full of life, laughter and movement. Shout out to our director Trinidad James for feeding us nothing but positivity the entire day, and my choreographer Tiffany Simone for giving us movement that both ‘hit’ and felt natural!”
“Drop” is the third single from Bellinger’s double album, The Rebirth 3: The Party & The Bedroom, released in March.
Bellinger shared, “‘Drop’ is the last song I recorded for the album. I thought I was done. I thought it was ready, but that extra push took us to a different level of victory! This is by far one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made. From the uptempo pace to the smooth melodies, lush harmonies, hard-hitting bass, and the angelic voice of Sevyn Streeter, it’s safe to say we got one!”
The Rebirth 3 features additional appearances from Ne-Yo, Queen Naija, Tone Stith, Zae France, Mozzy, K Camp, Evoni, and BJRNCK.
Bellinger supported his new album on his headlining The Rebirth Tour, which wrapped up in mid-March.
