After much anticipation, Eric Bellinger has released his new album The Rebirth 3: The Party & The Bedroom.
The two-disc set consists of 24 tracks, including the previously shared “All For Me,” “La Perla,” “Find Someone” and “Gang Slide” featuring Mozzy. The album includes additional features from Ne-Yo, Ty Dolla $ign, Sevyn Streeter, Queen Naija, Tone Stith, Zae France, Evoni, BJRNCK and K Camp.
The first half of The Rebirth 3 is dosed with flirtatious, lounge-ready tracks like the Streeter-assisted “Drop” and “Run That Back” featuring K Camp.
Bellinger concludes part one with the Ty Dolla $ign-featured “Writer’s Block,” an ode to a lover who continues to be his infinite source of inspiration. “There’s just too many words in the world / If I’m writin’ about you / You are the perfect muse / So I’ll never get writer’s block,” Bellinger sings in the chorus.
Ty Dolla $ign appears in the second verse, where he pays homage to artists like Usher, Brandy, Tyrese and Prince. “I got a confession / You a classic like Thriller / And we be in harmony / Every full moon, gotta feel you / You’re my sweet lady / Droppin’ hit after hit after hit / Like Prince in the ’80s,” he croons.
“Writer’s Block” is a fitting conclusion for part one, as part two delves into slicker grooves strictly made for the bedroom. Songs like “Sage” featuring Ne-Yo, “Backstage” with Zae France and “Top Tier” featuring Tone Stith will fit nicely on any lovemaking playlist.
The Rebirth 3: The Party & The Bedroom is the third installment of Bellinger’s series, which he launched Feb. 11, 2014, with The Rebirth. Each project has been intentionally released in five-year increments. The Rebirth 2 arrived Feb. 22, 2019.
Bellinger is currently on his headlining Rebirth Tour, which launched in late January. Bellinger’s upcoming stops include Atlanta, Dallas, San Diego, Los Angeles and more, before concluding March 17 in Las Vegas.
