Teddy Swims has a new hit in his hands with his new single “Are You Even Real” featuring GIVĒON.
The lovestruck anthem has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales charts. It’s Swims’ first No. 1 on both charts.
Elsewhere, on Billboard the Peter Thomas and Julian Bunetta-produced track opens at No. 4 on Hot R&B Songs, No. 4 on R&B Streaming Songs, No. 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, No. 10 on Digital Song Sales, No. 12 on R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs, and No. 59 on the Hot 100.
On the latter popular singles chart, it marks Swims’ fifth entry and GIVĒON‘s seventh. Both artists have a No. 1 on the Hot 100. Swims’ breakout hit “Lose Control” spent one week atop the chart in 2024 as well as Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” featuring GIVĒON and Daniel Caesar in 2021.
“Are You Even Real” is lifted from Swims’ second album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2). The album, which releases Friday (Jan. 24) via Warner Records, also features Muni Long, Coco Jones, and GloRilla.
I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) follows the Georgia native’s debut album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), home to “Lose Control.”
Swims is nominated for Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The stacked category also includes Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Khruangbin, RAYE, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey.
