Jagged Edge will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their second album, J.E. Heartbreak, with a commemorative tour.

The legendary R&B group has announced the dates for An Evening With Jagged Edge: 25 Years of J.E. Heartbreak. Promoted by Live Nation Urban, the U.S. tour kicks off March 26 in Dallas.

From there, the quartet will visit major cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C., before concluding April 20 in Brooklyn. Additional dates will be announced soon.

Presale tickets will be available Wednesday (Feb. 4) at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public Thursday (Feb. 6) at 10 a.m. local time.

J.E. Heartbreak was released Jan. 18, 2000, via SoSo Def and Columbia Records.

Their breakout album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, becoming the group’s first top 10 hit on that chart. For context, their 1998 debut LP, A Jagged Era, peaked at No. 104.

Circling back to J.E. Heartbreak, the hits-filled album, primarily produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, included the popular singles “Promise,” “Let’s Get Married” and “He Can’t Love You.”

The Dupri-helmed “Promise” was the album’s most successful single on the Billboard Hot 100.

The devotional anthem peaked at No. 9 in March 2001, becoming their first top 10 hit. The song also topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks for two weeks.

“Let’s Get Married” and “He Can’t Love U” weren’t far behind, peaking at No. 11 and No. 15, respectively.

The former wedding song spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. (“He Can’t’ Love U” peaked at No. 3.)

By February 2001, J.E. Heartbreak was certified 2x platinum by the RIAA for selling over two million copies.

It remains their best-selling album to date. Of the album’s singles, “He Can’t Love U” scored a gold RIAA award for selling 500,000 copies in just two months.

Jagged Edge’s tour announcement comes on the heels of their new single “Just Might Get It,” which dropped Jan. 17. It’s the first taste of their new album, All Original Parts Vol. 1, which releases Feb. 14 — just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Speaking on their latest single, Jagged Edge’s Brian Casey says, “The beautiful thing about ‘Just Might Get It’ is how a single title can inspire entirely different perspectives. Brandon’s writing captures this perfectly. His take is telling the girl, ‘You keep asking for my time, and I’m giving it to you—now, what are you going to do with it? Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.’”

He continues, “Meanwhile, my perspective shifts to the aftermath: ‘You’ve said you want this to end, but I don’t, and now I’m telling you—be careful what you wish for, you might actually get it.’ It’s incredible how we’re using the same title but interpreting it in such distinct ways. That’s the magic of working with him—listening to the same thing and finding completely different meanings.”

According to press materials, All Original Parts is “inspired by themes of love, resilience, and personal growth [that] reflects Jagged Edge’s evolution while staying true to the sound that has made them one of the most celebrated acts in R&B.”
