Emerging alt-R&B singer Casper Sage has returned with his new EP SAGEhaven.
The seven-track offering was preceded by the singles “Nothing Into Signs” and “NuDivision.”
Speaking on the EP, Sage exclusively tells Rated R&B, “SAGEhaven is a bridge between a dream and real life — an emotionally overloaded evergreen blur.”
He continues, “It’s meant to capture the minutiae of life that make it feel mystical like a spiritual family story, deja-vu, or an encrypted dream with every passing second meaning is both flooding in and escaping.”

On the acoustic-laden “Roadrunner” featuring rapper Midwxst, Sage reflects on his soul-searching journey while seeking to find his sense of place in the world.
“I swear I just keep shifting shapes / And this mask just hides my face / And if I’m being real / I know, I know I fill the space / But I still can’t find my place,” Sage sings.
Midwxst raps, “I think a lot of y’all forget you only got one life / We all got problems, if we could then we would all rewrite them.”
SAGEhaven is the follow-up to the Oklahoma City native’s Synthesis+ EP, released in August 2023. The mini project included the singles “FML,” “Flow State” and “Is This Real Life?”
“Synthesis+ is a collection of ‘feel good’ music, but not every message is exclusively that. I consider it music to amplify when you feel good and lighter whenever you’re not,” explained Sage.
“I would say this EP is the rainbow after the storm; the first day of spring after the winter. Something to remind you of that feeling you were convinced you forgot.”
Earlier that April, Sage released his three-song Pseudo EP that included the catchy track “Spinnin’.”
He described the project as “an encapsulation of a moment in time that was filled with purposeful loneliness, chaotic emotional turmoil, and vices trying to cover it all up. [The song selection] really works to represent what it’s like to want people around you when you’re lonely, but constantly feel like you might be better off on your own.”
