Sasha Keable wants a lover who can be accountable for their actions — or lack thereof — as expressed in her new song “Act Right.”
On the soulful jam, produced by Etienne, Keable sings, “Act right / Act like you know / To do better, really / Not just for show / Act right / But girl, we both know / That if you wanted to you would.”
Speaking on “Act Right,” Keable explains, “The process of writing this track was very much rooted in betrayal and heartbreak, it’s a reflection on what it meant to lose people that once meant so much to me and how I navigated those feelings and emotions. I had to go back to the drawing board and attempt to find myself and what made me feel again after living my life for others for what felt like an eternity.”
She continues, “‘Act Right’ is a plea to the people who did me wrong to fix up and attempt to see the wrong in what they did while simultaneously attempting to find the love within myself that I so generously gave away to those people that didn’t deserve it.”

“Act Right” follows the South London native’s “Why,” which was released in November 2024. She co-wrote the stirring track with her frequent collaborator, kwn, alongside producer Charlie Pitts.
Speaking of kwn, Keable recently co-wrote her blazing track “Worst Behaviour,” which was reissued with a remix featuring Kehlani.
In addition to “Why,” Keable released “Hold Up” in April 2024, then teamed with Destin Conrad for “Auction,” which dropped in June, and “Take Your Time” with 6LACK in September. She capped the year with a feature on Isaiah Falls‘ “Night Off,” released in mid-December.
