Eric Benét is back on top of the charts. His Chanté Moore-assisted duet, “So Distracted,” rises from No. 5 to No. 1 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart dated June 28.

It tallies Benét’s fifth visit to the top of the summit. He previously reached No. 1 in November 2024 with “Something We Can Make Love To” featuring Tamar Braxton.

Here’s an overview of Eric Benét’s No. 1s on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart:

  • “Spend My Life With You,” featuring Tamia, No. 1 for five weeks (1999)
  • “You’re The Only One,” four weeks at No. 1 (2008)
  • “Sometimes I Cry,” five weeks at No. 1 (2010)
  • “Something We Can Make Love To,” Eric Benét & Tamar Braxton, one week at No. 1 (2024)
  • “So Distracted,” Eric Benét & Chanté Moore, one week at No. 1 so far (2025)

As for Moore, “So Distracted” marks her first-ever No. 1 hit on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. She came close in June 1999 with “Chanté’s Got A Man,” which peaked at No. 2. However, Maxwell‘s “Fortunate” wouldn’t budge from the top spot.

“So Distracted” entered the top 10 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart in March, scoring Benét his 14th top 10 hit and Moore’s fourth.

“So Distracted,” which originally appeared on Benét’s 2024 Duets EP, along with “Something We Can Make Love To,” is also lifted from his latest album, The Co-Star.

The collaborative album, released via his label JBR Creative Group, features duets with a variety of women in R&B, including India.Arie, Keri Hilson, Melanie Fiona, Goapele, Ari Lennox, Alex Isley, and more.
