Emerging singer Karri has enlisted Kehlani for “Go,” which flips E-40’s hyphy classic “Tell Me When to Go.”
Over the knocking production, which reimagines Lil Jon’s original beat with added synths, Karri and Kehlani are ready to pursue a love interest and only need the green light from them.
“You a ten, girl, I never wanna leave, so / Tell me when to go, my shawty,” Kari sings. Kehlani appears in verse two, singing, “In a room full of tens, you should know you’re an eleven / The perfect one to sit beside a legend.”
Karri has been on a roll in 2025. The Bay Area native dropped several tracks throughout the year, including “Slauson Ave,” “Oakland Baby” with Isaiah Falls, “Fmyx” and “Dirty Diana.” He also dropped collaborations with Jack Dine (“Cheeky”), Rexx Life Raj (“Mode”) and Nuevo Lio (“Candles”).
The 22-year-old is set to release his new project Late Nite Slider Music II later this year via Playing For Legacy. The forthcoming project will follow 2024’s Late Nite Slider Music, which included popular tracks “Oakland Pt. 2” and “Impromptu.”
As for Kehlani, the Grammy-nominated singer’s latest single “Folded” continues to make gains on the Billboard charts.
At the time of this writing, the nostalgic track is No. 22 on the Hot 100, marking Kehlani’s highest-charting single of her career. On Spotify, it has surpassed 149 million streams since its release on Aug. 15.
