Welcome to Chart Brief, Rated R&B’s weekly column tracking the latest movements across R&B charts. Each week, we’ll break down and analyze the R&B artists making waves on the Billboard, radio, and streaming charts. This edition covers the charts dated Jan. 30, 2026.

Billboard Charts

Adult R&B Airplay

Tracks the week’s top Adult R&B hits via 24/7 airplay data from Mediabase and Luminate.

No. 1: “In Your Feelings” – Mariah Carey (LW: 1)

THE BRIEF: Mariah Carey’s “In Your Feelings” rules for a sixth consecutive week on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. It now ties with her 2006 hit “Fly Like A Bird” for her second-longest run on the chart behind 2005’s “We Belong Together,” which dominated for eight weeks.

DEBUTS: “You’re Gonna Want Me Back” – Karyn White: No. 28

R&B veteran Karyn White earns her first Billboard chart entry in nearly 15 years with her new single “You’re Gonna Want Me Back.” The “Superwoman” singer previously appeared on the Adult R&B Airplay in 2012 with “Carpe Diem (Seize The Day),” which spent nine weeks on the chart, peaking at No. 27. Before that, White scored her first two entries in 1994 with “Hungah” and “Can I Stay With You,” which both peaked at No. 7.

It’s Scott’s 17th top 10. Meanwhile, Kehlani’s Grammy-nominated hit “Folded” rolls from No. 12 to No. 7 in its 16th week.

ON THE VERGE: Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” is showing signs of an Adult R&B Airplay takeover. It jumps from No. 30 to No. 18 in its second week on the chart. It still has some ways to go to reach the summit, but it’s on track for a top 10 entry soon.
