Raheem DeVaughn is back on top of Billboard.

The singer’s latest single, “You (20th Anniversary Edition),” rises two spots to No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart dated June 13.

The reimagined version of his 2005 classic debuted on the chart at No. 29 during the week of Feb. 14. It made its way into the top 10 in early May, tallying DeVaughn’s eighth entry.

“You (20th Anniversary Edition)” is DeVaughn’s second No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. He previously reached the summit with “Woman” in 2008, which reigned for nine weeks and spent 55 total weeks on the chart.

Reacting to his new No. 1, DeVaughn said, “Wow, I am truly thankful to all of the radio stations, programmers and listeners that supported this record. To think that a re-release of 20 years ago can circle the block again and be treated like a brand-new song and make it to #1, is simply rewarding and incredible.”

Here is an overview of Raheem DeVaughn’s top 10 hits on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart:

  • “Woman,” No. 1 for nine weeks (2008)
  • “I Don’t Care,” No. 10 peak (2010)
  • “Queen,” No. 10 peak (2015)
  • “Don’t Come Easy,” No. 3 peak (2018)
  • “Just Right,” No. 7 peak (2019)
  • “Can’t Nobody,” Keith Sweat feat. Raheem DeVaughn, No. 5 peak (2022)
  • “Let’s Fall In Love” feat. Kenny Allen & HMP, No. 7 peak (2024)
  • “You (20th Anniversary Edition),” No. 1 peak (2026)

The 20th anniversary edition of “You” appears on his 10th album, The Quiet Storm Lover (Volume 1), released in March. The 10-track project, which features a mini cameo from Ari Lennox, is available on all digital platforms except Spotify.

The album’s title is a nod to his evening radio show, The Original Quiet Storm, on WHUR 96.3 FM. The show also airs on the weekends as The Quiet Storm in the Garden of Love on SiriusXM’s Channel 141.

The original version of “You” appeared on DeVaughn’s 2005 debut album, The Love Experience. It peaked at No. 18 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart, along with the lead single, “Guess Who Loves You More.” DeVaughn celebrated the album’s 20th anniversary last year with a commemorative mixtape, featuring remixes and commentary.
