On the New Jack Swing track, the singing trio taught a lesson on falling in love with just any and everybody, but made you hit the dance floor.
“Poison” became a huge hit in the early 1990s and the group’s most successful tune to date. It peaked No.1 on Billboard’s R&B Singles chart. The song also reached the Top 5 of Billboard’s Hot 100 and earned Bell Biv Devoe a Top 20 on the UK Singles chart.
The success of the platinum-selling record has heightened to this day, ranking No.1 on Vh1’s 40 Greatest R&B Songs of the 90’s and has appeared in popular TV shows and films like “Glee,” “A Different World” and “Pineapple Express.”
