John Legend has enlisted Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra for his “Nervous (Remix).”
The new version is a bilingual interpretation of the heartwarming tune.
Legend opens the track with the original first verse and chorus. Yatra comes in for the second verse and chorus, before they harmonize together toward the end of the song.
“Sebastian is such a gifted artist,” say Legend. “I’m so glad we could collaborate again on this special version of ‘Nervous’!”
“I was actually a bit nervous to do ‘Nervous’ with John because singing alongside one of the best singers in the world can be pretty overwhelming,” shares Yatra.
“He is an incredible vocalist and performer and puts so much emotion into everything he does. I’m so grateful to be a part of such a special song.”
“Nervous (Remix)” marks Legend and Yatra’s second collaboration. Legend joined Yatra on his single “Tacones Rojos,” which was released in March.
Legend will join Yatra at the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards to perform “Tacones Rojos.” The show will air Thursday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. ET on Univision.

The original version of “Nervous,” which has over 11 million global streams, appears on Legend’s double album, LEGEND, out now on John Legend Music/Republic Records.
Released on Sept. 9, LEGEND debuted at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart. It marked Legend’s fifth consecutive top 10 debut on the R&B Albums chart since it launched in 2012.
LEGEND features collaborations with Jazmine Sullivan, Muni Long, Jhené Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Ledisi, Rick Ross and more.
“Until this point, I’ve never used an aspect of my name as the title of an album. I had to earn that, to live up to it by delivering in the performance and the music,” said Legend. “And this is me saying, I’m proud of who I am, I’m confident in the work I’ve done, and I’m just going to declare it.”
