Songbird Mariah Carey gets a bit creative as she performed at the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert.
Well, dismiss the old saying “fashionably late” and replace it with “fashionably hurt.” Yes, only one diva can pull off this saying and have a trend of followers embracing her crafty approach.
Performing with a cracked rib, fractured shoulder and a broken arm, Carey still pressed on gracing the stage in Central Park as she performed with a glamorous white fur arm sling. The sling blended in with the singer’s white, glittery gown as if it was a part of the attire originally.
“This is us being creative,” says the diva about her daring fashion approach. “We don’t want to be seen in a sling.”
Carey performed “#Beautiful,” “Looking In” and “Hero” still making an effort to hit her distinctive high notes despite her fractured ribs, which she incurred on the set of her “#Beautiful” remix video.
Carey performed with the New York Philharmonic accentuating the singer’s vocals. As Carey changed ensembles a few times, she also changed slings with the help of her entourage. Could fashionable slings be a new trend?
