Beyoncé’s new country single “Texas Hold ‘Em” rises atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. It’s her ninth solo No. 1 and 13th overall, including hits from Destiny’s Child.

Released Sunday, Feb. 11, “Texas Hold ‘Em” debuted at No. 2 on the Hot 100 with only four days of tracking compared to the standard seven. (Billboard’s tracking week begins Friday at midnight and ends the following Thursday at 11:59 p.m.).

“Texas Hold ‘Em” marks Beyoncé’s first No. 1 hit since 2022’s “Break My Soul,” which became her first chart-topper as a lone artist since 2008’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”

Here is a breakdown of Beyoncé’s No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart:

  • “Bills, Bills, Bills” – Destiy’s Child, one week at No. 1 (1999)
  • “Say My Name” – Destiny’s Child, three weeks at No. 1 (2000)
  • “Independent Women Part I” – Destiny’s Child, 11 weeks at No. 1 (2000)
  • “Bootylicious” – Destiny’s Child, two weeks at No. 1 (2001)
  • “Crazy in Love” featuring Jay-Z, eight weeks at No. 1 (2003)
  • “Baby Boy” featuring Sean Paul, nine weeks at No. 1 (2003)
  • “Check On It” featuring Slim Thug, five weeks at No. 1 (2006)
  • “Irreplaceable,” 10 weeks at No. 1 (2006)
  • “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” four weeks at No. 1 (2008)
  • “Perfect,” Ed Sheeran with Beyoncé, six weeks at No. 1 (2017)
  • “Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion, one week at No. 1 (2020)
  • “Break My Soul,” two weeks at No. 1 (2022)
  • “Texas Hold ‘Em,” one week at No. 1 so far (2024)

As mentioned above, “Texas Hold ‘Em” was released Feb. 11, following Beyoncé’s Verizon commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. The song was accompanied by the B-side, “16 Carriages.”

Both songs, which will appear on Beyoncé’s upcoming album, Act II, debuted on multiple charts. “Texas” opened at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, making history as the first song by a Black woman to reach the top of the summit. “16 Carriages” debuted at No. 9 on the same chart, and No. 36 on the Hot 100.

Act II will release March 29 via Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. The forthcoming album is the second installment of Beyoncé’s trilogy project, which started with 2022’s Act I: Renaissance.

Renaissance debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, with 332,000 equivalent units sold in the first week.

Additionally, the now-platinum album won Best Dance/Electronic Music Album at the 65th Grammy Awards in 2023. Beyoncé made history as the first Black woman to win a Grammy in that category.

Beyoncé supported the album on her Renaissance World Tour, which grossed over $579 million worldwide.
