Kenyon Dixon is taking his new album, The R&B You Love, on the road. The Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter has announced the dates for his The R&B You Love Tour.
The tour kicks off May 25 at the inaugural TwoGether Land Festival in Dallas, Texas. The festival will include additional performances by Summer Walker, Muni Long, Lil Wayne, Alex Isley, Josh Levi, and others.
From there, Dixon will travel across the U.S., hitting major cities such as Houston, Chicago, Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
The first leg concludes July 28 at El Rey in Los Angeles, California. According to Dixon, additional tour dates will be announced soon.
Presale tickets for The R&B You Love Tour will be available Wednesday, April 24, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 26, at 10 a.m. local time.
As noted above, Dixon’s upcoming tour will support his latest album, The R&B You Love. The album was among Rated R&B’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2023 list. Antwane Folk described the album as “an intentional, well-crafted listen that takes a deep dive into key eras of one of the most beloved genres.”
The R&B You Love includes features from RL of Next, Alex Isley, Tiffany Gouché, Kincy, and Cozz. The album also includes Dixon’s Grammy-nominated single “Lucky.”
In March, Dixon released, The R&B You Love: Soul of the ’70s, an EP rooted in sounds inspired by ’70s soul and R&B. “These installments of the deluxe are super intentional,” Dixon told Rated R&B. “I’m such a fan of the music that got us here. I always want to find a way to pay homage to our musical pioneers and heroes.”
