R&B newcomer Jaymin has released his new single “Something Real” via Warner Records.
On the low-lit production, helmed by Chase N. Cashe and Wu10, Jaymin contemplates finding a romance with substance. It’s not only a longing but a commitment to provide it.
“I need something that I can I can feel / Baby what’s the deal / Put on my game face / If we playing the field / They can’t love you quite like I do,” he croons.

“‘Something Real’ is about craving authenticity in love and life,” explains Jaymin. “It’s me saying I desire — and even need — something I can truly feel and relate to.”
He continues, “The song captures the smooth essence and vulnerability of traditional R&B. It bridges who I was with who I’m becoming, carrying the raw emotion that shaped my early work, but also introducing audiences to a more refined sound — a glimpse of what’s next.”
Jaymin first teased “Something Real” on social media, posting a snippet of the track in early August that garnered one million views between Instagram and TikTok.
“Something Real” is the follow-up to “88,” which dropped in May 2024.
