Canadian R&B singer Myles Lloyd has a few questions for a lover in his new single “Do The Most.”
Over a bass-heavy beat, produced by Rex Warren and Tilt, Lloyd examines the push and pull of unrequited love. Throughout the track, he toggles between pride in his lavish generosity (“I spent like 10 thousand on those shoes”) and the resentment of nothing in return (“I don’t want you in my life, no”). He sings in the chorus, “Why do I do the most for you? / Why do I spend checks on you? / Why do I spend? Why do I spend? / When I get nothing at all.”
Speaking on “Do The Most,” Lloyd explains, “This song is about the energy of going all in. Sometimes you do the most and it works out, sometimes it doesn’t — but either way, it’s about living without holding back.”

“Do The Most” follows a wave of tracks released by Lloyd, including “Closer,” “Crazy” with BUNT and “Drive Me Crazy.”
Lloyd is gearing up to release his new album I’m Still Thinking on Nov. 21. The follow-up to What More Can I Say? “is me reflecting on every moment — the highs, the heartbreak, the obsession, the ego,” says Lloyd. “It’s what it sounds like to still be figuring it all out.”
I’m Still Thinking features production by Tilt, Dylan Hyde, and Lilly Kaplan, and is said to include a bold mix of R&B, alternative, and modern pop stylings.
