R&B stars Chris Brown and Usher have reunited for a remix of “It Depends,” Brown’s rising hit featuring Bryson Tiller.

Usher kicks things off in the first verse, singing, “Oh, got a call from Chris, sayin’ that he wanna do another remix / He done already took my hit and made another hit, ain’t that a bitch? / But I said, “Okay, long as I can do it my way” / Let me take you down (Take you down).” It’s a nod to his 1997 classic “Nice & Slow,” which is sampled in the song.

Continuing with his verse, Usher falls in line with the song’s sensual theme, adding his own braggadocious bedroom flair to it. “Let me take you down (Take you down) And realign your chakras, good d—k can do that,” he sings, also giving a nod to Brown’s “Take You Down.”

Brown’s “It Depends (The Remix)” arrives merely hours after Brown concluded his massive Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour Thursday night (Oct. 16) in New Orleans. Speaking of the tour, Usher made a surprise cameo at the Brown’s Atlanta stop.

CB and UR’s “It Depends (The Remix)” marks their fourth collaboration, following “Party” (2016), “Back to Sleep – Remix” (2016) and “New Flame” (2014).

The pair share two Grammy nods for the latter track, which appeared on Brown’s X album, including Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance at the 47th Grammy Awards.

Brown released “It Depends” on July 25, days ahead of the launch of his Breezy Bowl Tour. The hard-knocking tack was produced by RIOTUSA and Nico Baran.

“It Depends” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart, earning Brown his eighth leader. It also debuted at No. 43 on the Hot 100 chart. At the time of this writing, “It Depends” is No. 39 in its 11th week on the chart, after peaking at No. 29.

“It Depends” is expected to appear on Brown’s forthcoming album, tentatively titled BROWN. The project will follow his Grammy-winning album, 11:11 (Deluxe), which took home the Best R&B Album trophy at the 2025 Grammys in February.

11:11 (Deluxe), released in April 2024, includes the platinum-selling, No. 1 hit “Residuals,” which topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay and Rhythmic Airplay charts.
