Caesar took to Instagram to celebrate his new milestone. “We got our 1st Billboard top 5 album. Alhamdulillah!” he told his 3.9 million followers.

Additionally, Son of Spergy ranks at No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, No. 1 on Vinyl Albums, No. 4 on Top Album Sales and No. 11 on Top Streaming Albums.

Son of Spergy was released Oct. 24 via Hollace Inc./Republic Records. Preceded by the singles “Have A Baby (With Me),” “Call On Me” and “Moon” with Bon Iver, the album also features Sampha, Yebba, Blood Orange, 646yf4t and Norwill Simmonds, Caesar’s father, whose nickname inspired the title.

“I have a lot of respect for my dad, and I hold him in high regard. The album is about me realizing that I am exactly like him,” Caesar explained. “In that sense, it’s about having patience, respect, and admiration for myself.”
