Grammy-winning singer Daniel Caesar has announced his fourth album, Son of Spergy, set to release later this year via Republic Records.
Regarding his first album in two years, Caesar told Billboard, “It’s about religion, but more importantly, it’s about my father. In your childhood, your father is a lot like God. He’s the person you fear the most on earth and also the person whose love and respect you desire more than anyone else on earth. It’s the source from where all your blessings come.”
Son of Spergy will include the piano-laden lead single “Have A Baby (With Me).” Produced by Simon Hessman and Jordan Evans, the aching ballad captures the desire to preserve love by starting a family, even as the reality of a sinking relationship remains apparent.
“Have a baby with me / There’s no time to believe in what we could be / We could leave something here / It’s too late for our dreams,” Caesar croons.

Son of Spergy is Caesar’s first solo since releasing his album Never Enough in 2023. The project included the singles “Do You Like Me?” “Let Me Go” and “Valentina.” It also featured collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, serpentwithfeet, Summer Walker and more.
Since Never Enough, Caesar has appeared on the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack (“Waiting In Vain“) and has collaborated with Sean Leon (“The Glade”), Tyler, The Creator (“St. Chroma”), Rex Orange County (“Rearrange My World / There’s a Field”) and Blood Orange (“The Field”).
Most recently, Caesar co-wrote and co-produced “Devotion” from Justin Bieber’s latest album, SWAG. The two previously worked together on Bieber’s No. 1 hit “Peaches,” also featuring Givēon.
