Just when you thought the school semester was over, Daniel Caesar returns and tacks on another assignment titled Case Study 01.
The follow-up to his Grammy-nominated debut Freudian features mostly songs that express the many contradictions of life. With his distinct and sonic vocals full of hurt and mystery, Caesar overwhelms listeners with highly-related topics such as life and death on songs like “Superposition” featuring John Mayer.
He touches on complex relationships with Brandy on “Love Again” and the even the possibility of a sophomore jinx on “Restore the Feeling.”
Caesar is gearing up to play a number of festival dates this summer. He will make his first stop at the 52nd annual Festival d’ete de Quebec on July 11. He is also tapped for H.E.R.’s self-curated Lights On Festival in September. Tickets for both shows and more are available on his official website.
