Jill Scott is back. The Grammy-winning singer has announced her sixth album, To Whom This May Concern, will release Feb. 13 via The Orchard.

The highly anticipated album is described as “an offering leaning heavily into the power of connectivity, humanity, and collective home.”

It also represents “Scott’s grit and grace, grounded in her lifelong commitment to inspire, uplift, and remind us that sometimes the most powerful magic is simply showing up with love, truth, and with always a song in heart.”

According to press materials, the 19-track album features collaborations with Ab-Soul, J.I.D., Tierra Whack and Too $hort, with production by Adam Blackstone, Om’Mas Keith, DJ Premier, Camper, Andre Harris, Seige Montracity, Trombone Shorty, Eric Wortham, DW Wright and VT Tolan.

Alongside her new album announcement and official artwork by Marcellous, Scott has released the lead single, “Beautiful People,” produced by Om’Mas Keith.

Set against a lush backdrop, Scott celebrates the love of life and the collective resilience of humanity. “Our love is the art of war / Conquering all algorithms / And wicked wicked systems of things,” she sings.

To Whom This May Concern is the follow-up to 2015’s Woman, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album included “Fool’s Gold” and the Grammy-nominated “Can’t Wait,” both co-written by SiR.

Before announcing her new album, Scott had been dropping nuggets on social media, hinting at her return. Most recently, on Dec. 22, she posted a teaser on Instagram confirming that her hiatus is over and a new era is imminent. “The inspiration has finally manifested and the countdown to greatness has officially begun. Stay tuned,” she told her nearly three million followers.

While it has been over a decade since Scott last released music, she has collaborated with several artists, including Alicia Keys, Kehlani, Teyana Taylor, SiR, and Camper, among others.
