Mýa has joined forces with 21 Savage for a remix of her latest single “ASAP.”
21 opens the track with a smooth eight-bar to match MyGuyMars’ silky production before reappearing midway with eight more.
“Give me inspiration, think about you when I write my rhymes / If she got diamonds all over her body, then you know she mine,” he raps on the ’80s-tinged backdrop.
Mýa’s two original verses and chorus remain unchanged on the remix, allowing the under-three-minute record to expand to nearly four minutes.
The standard version of “ASAP” was released Jan. 30. Regarding the track, Mýa explained, “This is for my core R&B fans who love feel-good music, with meaningful lyrics that hit the soul. ‘ASAP’ highlights one reaching a crossroad and choosing clarity by being honest about your wants and needs in times of uncertainty, without fear or hesitation.”

“ASAP” is the lead single from Mýa’s 10th album, Retrospect, which is slated for release on May 1 via Planet 9.
Speaking on Retrospect, she shared, “Music wasn’t just a part of my life; it was the heartbeat of my home, the foundation of my joy. This album is a celebration of that and the kind of funk that never fades. It’s a bridge between the past and the future, honoring the greats, my inspirations, while forging something new.”
Aside from 21 Savage, the album will include collaborations with Snoop Dogg, ADÉ, Too $hort, D-Nice and Joyner Lucas.
Retrospect will follow 2018’s T.K.O (The Knock Out), which included the singles “Damage” and “You Got Me.”
As for 21 Savage, the rapper released his latest album, What Happened to the Streets, in December 2025. The set includes features from Drake, Lil Baby, Latto, GloRilla, Jawan Harris, Metro Boomin and more.
