Mýa has returned with her new song “ASAP.” She co-produced it with Lamar “MyGuyMars” Edwards and co-wrote it with Vince Berry.
On the ’80s-tinged track, Mýa calls for open communication with a lover to work through a rough patch. “I swear we gotta talk, yeah we gotta ASAP / We both messed up and we way off track,” she sings in the chorus.
Speaking on her new single, Mýa says, “This is for my core R&B fans who love feel-good music, with meaningful lyrics that hit the soul. ‘ASAP’ highlights one reaching a crossroad and choosing clarity by being honest about your wants and needs in times of uncertainty, without fear or hesitation.”

“ASAP” follows Mýa’s 2025 singles “Give It to You” and “Face to Face.” The latter was reissued with a “Summer Remix” and “DMV Remix” featuring rapper Adé.
Mýa’s latest three singles are expected to appear on her upcoming 10th album, which she previously hinted was on the way. “We have this album coming up that ‘ASAP’ is a single on and it’s mixed in stereo, Dolby Atmos as well as Sony 360, so you will be inside of the music when you listen,” she said. “We’re taking it back to a beautiful time in music with this album.”
Mýa’s upcoming album will follow 2018’s T.K.O (The Knock Out), which included songs like “Damage” and “You Got Me.” Before that, she released her Grammy-nominated LP Smoove Jones in February 2016.
