R&B newcomer B. Smyth sat down for an interview with VIBE TV to discuss his upcoming EP and R. Kelly’s influence on his style.
The Ft. Lauderdale native pays homage to his home state in his recently released debut EP, “The Florida Files.”
Smyth told VIBE that he is excited about the album and that with it, he wants to “bring back feel good music.”
“Music is all about a feeling, if you don’t feel nothing then what are you doing it for really?” Smyth added.
When speaking on R&B and the ’90s, Smyth says that R. Kelly is an artist that must be mentioned and names him as one of his inspirations.
