R&B singer Ledisi transforms from dull to fiercely sexy inside the visual for her current single “I Blame You.”
In the Derek Blanks-directed video, the vocal powerhouse plays a drab employee at work, where she, like every other female employee, is interested in one of her co-workers.
She then undergoes a makeover and even takes dance lessons to transform into a fierce and confident woman, attracting the guy she had her eye on in the office.
“It’s about a relationship and you’re excited about the person making you excited about you, again,” Ledisi explains the meaning of the song.
“So, you’re blaming that person for bringing some light into your life. [The song] gives you insight to the honesty and the sensuality to what is to come.”
“I Blame You” is lifted from Ledisi’s upcoming album, The Truth.
