Last month, urban alternative artist Kelis served fans her “FOOD” album cover, along with its delicious tracklist. Now, to prep fans for their main course meal, the “Bossy” singer supplies them with her new song called “Rumble.”
Understanding the dynamics of an unhealthy relationship, the “Milkshake” singer expresses her frustrations with her lover and why she doesn’t care to make it work. “We have so much history / I hurt you, you hurt me / Now we don’t need therapy / What I need is you to leave,” sings Kelis.
Kelis’s sixth studio set will arrive on April 22 via UK independent label Ninja Tune. The album features her previously released single “Jerk Ribs.”
“I’m really happy to be partnering with Ninja Tune on my new record. This is the album I’ve wanted to make for a long time and I want the team around me to be as excited and energetic about it as I am. I’m also very happy to be working with some of the most creative people in the industry,” she says via press release.
