Kevin McCall reveals a preview of “Hunnits Only,” an ode to Roger Troutman from his forthcoming mixtape “A.D.H.D.”
McCall has been channeling the spirit of giving this week releasing snippets of tracks from his upcoming mixtape “A.D.H.D.” set to drop next Thursday (April 10). On Thursday (Apr. 3), McCall previewed a taste of his 90s-influenced track “Hunnits Only.” The electro-funky track was inspired by 80s/90s R&B musician Roger Troutman, known mostly for his 1987 hit “I Want To Be Your Man” featured in the 2000 movie “Love and Basketball.”
“In honor of #TBT here’s me going in on the talk box,” writes the California native on his Instagram. “Salute to Roger Troutman, the best to ever do it.”
“Hunnits Only” features heavy usage of the talk box, which distinguished Troutman’s signature sound. This sensual fire track contributes to McCall’s RnG (Rhythm n Gangsta) catalog and is the third snippet the Watts musician has revealed from “A.D.H.D.”
“A.D.H.D.” is one half of the project the talent plans to release from his duo EP. “Bangerz,” the second part of the project, will be released at a further date.
