Pharrell Williams takes his talents to the NBA as he crafts eco-friendly t-shirts for NBA’s annual Green Week.
The NBA’s Green Week is from April 3-10. During the campaign, they generate awareness and funds for protecting the environment. As an active environmentalist himself, Williams gets involved combining his passions for an eco-friendly environment and fashion. There’s nothing that the artist hasn’t experimented with lately.
Williams and his environmental manufacturing company, Bionic Yarn, are creating limited edition commemorative shirts made out of post consumer plastic bottles in an effort to go green. The shirts will serve as the league player’s uniforms for this week. The NBA players will be wearing wholly organic cotton Adidas shooting shirts and Adidas Revolution 30 uniforms made out of 60 percent recycled resources.
The eco-friendly apparel will we available for purchase online at NBAstore.com during the NBA postseason.
Congratulations to Williams for his recent endeavors with the NBA, Uniqlo and Adidas!
