As Jhené Aiko’s “Sail Out” EP continues to secure a safe position (current: No. 47) on the Billboard 200 week after week, she hopes to bring more attention to its growing success with her “Comfort Inn Ending (Freestyle)” music video.
In the “Waiting To Exhale” inspired clip, Aiko lets out her frustrations over her lover’s recent infidelity by doing what scorned women do best — destroying a man’s valuables.
From keying his Ferrari to damaging his clothes and setting his collection of Jordan’s ablaze, she proves that experiencing heartbreak doesn’t easy for her.
“Thought I told you not to trust these hoes/say they love you, and you know they don’t,” sings a hurt Jhené.
Last month, Aiko gave details on her debut album, “Souled Out,” which is slated to release this summer. “I feel like it’s literally a piece of my soul on each track. It’s definitely on a different level than anything else I’ve ever put out. Every song is more of me and where I’m at with my life now. I took my time with the vocals, lyrics, visuals. I’m excited for people to hear it and learn more about me, my story and my sound.”
