Earlier this month, Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar dropped their incredible collaboration “It’s On Again,” the lead track to “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” soundtrack. With the action film set to arrive on May 2, the musical duo release the song’s accompanying visuals.
The nearly four-minute clip of Keys and Lamar’s joint effort starts with Lamar spitting his insane rap bars on a walkie-talkie as an army of men and women get ready to takeover the city. Then “Superwoman” known as Alicia chimes in with her superhero inspired verses.
As the cinematic piece continues, Pharrell, who produced the track alongside Hans Zimmer, plays a super hacker who breaks into the electric mainframe system of the city and turns the metropolitan area into a play of lights. Throughout the video, it shows movie scenes of what fans can expect from the action-packed picture.
“What I love most about our song ‘It’s On Again’ from The Amazing Spider-Man is the message that we all have the potential to be extraordinary. That is something I believe in. We can all be superheroes in our own lives!,” said Alicia.
Last week, the song made its grand entrance onto the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart at No. 17.
