If you’ve misplaced an R. Kelly album or two, you’re in luck this May. Billboard’s most successful R&B artist of the last 25 years will have his more than two-decade career combined on a double-disc project titled “The Essential R. Kelly.”
Releasing on May 19 via RCA/Legacy, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, the musical collection will take fans back to R. Kelly’s days a part of Public Announcement (“She Go That”). From there, the 35-track album will include songs like “Video Mix,” “Bump n’ Grind,” “I Believe I Can Fly,” “Be Careful” with Sparkle, “I Wish,” “When A Woman’s Fed Up,” “Feeling On Yo Booty,” and “Happy People,” among others.
Aside from owning a copy of “The Essential R. Kelly,” die-hard fans can see him perform hits from his amazing catalog during his “Black Panties Tour,” which started last Friday (April 18) in Montgomery, Alabama. The ten cities show will end on May 11 in Louisville, Kentucky.
