A new track from Melanie Fiona leaked on the internet last week. The song is called “Wrong Side of a Love Song,” and was written by Fiona and produced by Jack Splash.
“Wrong Side of a Love Song” is an emotional ballad, very reminiscent of an old-school song. It’s expected to appear on Fiona’s forthcoming album “The MF Life,” which hits stores May 8.
“Where were you when I needed a friend /Thought I could be strong /Never knew I’d be so lost /A heart breaker, most of my life /Suddenly it all changed /The moment you left me /I walked off my life…”
[audio:http://cdn.ratedrnb.com//2012/01/Melanie-Fiona-Wrong-Side-Of-A-Love-Song.mp3]“Wrong Side of a Love Song” could very well be one of Fiona’s best songs to date. The vocals, production and lyrics all made this track very powerful. Not to mention, it adds even more anticipation behind her album “The MF Life.” Hopefully, Fiona and her team will decide to keep this track on the album.
Fiona actually debuted this song during her performance at the UNICEF Ball in Dec. 2011. Watch her performance below.
