After a number of successful hits and a successful EP, Jhene Aiko finally discloses an official release date for her well-anticipated forthcoming album “Souled Out.”
After debuting the album’s first single “To Love and Die” this past April, the Los Angeles singer’s full-length “Souled Out” album is slated for a August 25 release. Even though her first single featured Cocaine 80s, we can expect to have Aiko to ourselves for much of the album. The singer admits that the album will not have many features as some may predict.
“I did the album and it just shaped up to be all me,” says Aiko to Rap-Up TV. “I just didn’t leave room for anybody just because I have a lot to say. I just wrote the songs from top to bottom.”
As far as the album’s production is concerned, the project will include tracks from No I.D., Key Wane, Fisticuffs, James Fauntleroy and Dot Da Genius. We can even expect a vocal production from Aiko’s daughter Namiko on a track called “Promises.” We can’t wait to her the album and its entirety.
