Usher was among the handful of stars who were honored at the 2015 BET Honors on Monday night. The diamond-selling recording artist took home the “Musical Arts Award” for his ongoing success in music.
Usher was surprised when one of his musical influences, Bobby Brown, appeared on stage to present his award.
“We lack motivation, we lack role models. I was one of those kids who didn’t have a father, but my heavenly father was always there,” Usher said during his emotional and raw acceptance speech.
