R&B’s leading man Trey Songz is definitely working overtime for his fans this year. Following the premiere of his steamy “Slow Motion” music video, the Virginia native has announced the release date for his Trigga Reloaded album.
Scheduled to arrive on April 14, the forthcoming set will serve as a re-release to his 2013 album Trigga. “With ‘Trigga Reloaded,’ I wanted to give records like “Slow Motion” and other records that I had no place for a home,” said Songz at an SX Liquors event last week. “I didn’t feel they belong on ‘Tremaine,’ and I wanted more people to hear ‘Trigga.’
After the release of Trigga Reloaded, Songz will be plotting the release of his seventh studio album, Tremaine. “It’s just another layer of myself,” he said. “The ‘Tremaine’ album will kind of be like the base of what my career started as. In music now, in R&B and hip-hop, I feel like it’s easy to make women feel sexy and be a bad bitch, but I feel like the ‘Tremaine’ album will kind of put women on the pedestal again, and show that’s it’s cool to love, it’s cool to want to be romantic, it’s cool to want to be in a relationship.”
Trey Songz Launches SX Liquors
In other news, Songz recently launched his partnership with SX Liquors. He is now serenading women across the nation on the Between the Sheets Tour with Chris Brown and Tyga. Then, later this spring, Songz will join Nicki Minaj on the European leg of her Pinkprint Tour.
It’s safe to say, Trey Songz won’t stop, can’t stop.
