The musical legacy of Teddy Pendergrass lives on through a new posthumous duets album titled Duets Love & Soul, due August 21.
The 12-track duets album, featuring songs by R&B’s Teddy bear, will feature of a variety of soul singers such as Shuggie Otis, Noora Noor, The Stylistics, Ohio Players, Martha Reeves, Eric Gales, Angie Stone and more singing memorable classics alongside Pendergrass. Brian Perera, the founder and CEO of Cleopatra Records hand-selected the artists participating on the project.
Stone adds her soulfully layered voice to Pendergrass’ classic tune “Love TKO,” which serves as the project’s lead single.
Duets Love & Soul will be sold at retail in Wal-Mart and Best Buy. It will also be available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital music retailers.
