Less than 24 hours after announcing his ‘ultimate R&B song,’ Chris Brown releases the first of three rounds of remixes to “Back to Sleep.” The Virginia native enlists R&B superstar Usher and former One Direction member Zayn for the new edition.
Usher kicks off the intimate track bragging about his bedroom skills. “Come and ride on me like the waves / I flip the pages ’cause I wrote the book on the way how to sex you up,” he sings. He goes into further detail on his oral skills.
Brown follows up with an apologetic verse dedicated to his ex-girlfriend Karrueche. He sings, “You know I miss you / Baby let me love you back to sleep once more / And I know that we don’t speak no more / I just wanna tell you I’m sorry for f*cking around with Keisha and Makayla.”
Zayn closes out the track with a hot verse. “Keep your eyes closed until I roll through / So baby when you’re feeling like a woman in the sheets / Somebody splittin’ your knees / Don’t worry that’s me / I’m up here puttin’ work in,” he sings.
Brown also recruited August Alsina, Bryson Tiller and Miguel for the second remix; and Tyrese and Tank for the third remix.
The original version of “Back to Sleep” is lifted off Brown’s latest album, Royalty, which was released in December 2015.
