R&B newcomer Gallant has released his debut album, Ology, via Mind of a Genius/Warner Records.
Across 16 tracks, Ology invites listeners deep into Gallant’s psyche, where his anxieties and insecurities are laid bare.
In an interview with Billboard, the Columbia, Maryland, native opened up about what inspired the album. “A lot of it is just my relationship with myself,” he said.
“I’m asking a lot of questions and challenging myself within my head; my relationship with the world; friends or family or spirituality — a bunch of topics which make up who I am as a human being.”
Ology includes previously released tracks, including “Weight in Gold,” “Bourbon,” “Open Up” and the Jhené Aiko-assisted “Skipping Stones.”
Ology is the follow-up to Gallant’s 2016 debut EP, Zebra.
