Following the successful release of her sophomore EP, 213, LA singer Mila J is back with the smooth sounds of her new record, “Down.”
“Down” is a booming record that takes Brandy’s 1994 smash-hit “I Wanna Be Down” and flips it on its head, taking the chorus as its own and reinventing the feel of the record. Mila J lets her silky voice melt to the production as she sings of being the girl that is down for anything.
“She look like she came from Japan / She bad and she don’t need a man / She crazy, she sexy, she bad / she crazy, she sexy she (ooh, ooh),” she sings.
It’s unclear if this was cut from the previous project or just it’s own single but either way the record is a good one.
