After premiering his Jhene Aiko-assisted “Skipping Stones” earlier this year, Gallant follows-up with a visual.
Directed by American Millennial, the video finds Gallant tied up in the back of a car driven by Aiko. Later in the video, Aiko reaches a mysterious area where she sets the car on fire.
“I’m really into the whole one shot thing. Even just the way that I write, I really like living into a moment,” Gallant told Complex. “Digging into all the subtext that that moment kind of carries. I thought that this particular scene would just very naturally, in a very subtly complex way, kind of just illustrate exactly all of the fiery emotions that are coming through lyrically in the song from both perspectives.”
“Skipping Stones” appears on Gallant’s debut album, Ology, which is out now.
