After sharing a snippet of his new single “Love Me Now,” John Legend unleashes the full version. The feel-good track is the first single from Legend’s forthcoming album, Darkness and Light.
Legend premiered the song on Facebook live. “It’s all about loving and living to the fullest,” Legend explained. “Don’t wait until tomorrow. Hold the people you love close to you right now.”
He sings, “I don’t know who’s gonna kiss you when I’m gone / So I’m gonna love you now like it’s all I have / I know it’ll kill me when it’s over / I don’t wanna think about it / I want you to love me now.”
Darkness and Light is expected to release before the year is over. The album will include features from Miguel, Chance the Rapper and Brittany Howard.
